Vision and Value Statement
Brahminy believe anything is possible. We strive to achieve sensational results and place young people in a position where they can take their place in society.
In achieving its Vision, Brahminy and its staff embrace the following values:
- HUMAN DIGNITY and WORTH
We believe that young people should be acknowledged as inherently valuable members of the human community.
We endeavour to act honestly within our mission, vision and values.
We believe that the most important thing in life is relationships and this is the crux of the connection between individuals or between groups that creates trust loyalty co-operation and support.
We believe that empowerment is an attitudinal, structural and cultural process whereby young people gain the ability, authority and agency to make decisions and implement change in their own lives and in the lives of other people.
Social Justice Statement
Brahminy recognizes that not all people and young people share equally in the benefits of society, and it is imperative that options exist for those most disadvantaged.
Therefore, all people and young people involved with Brahminy:
- Will be supported without discrimination.
- Should be treated with respect so that their dignity as individuals is preserved.
- Should be recognized as people capable of making decisions and choices for their own lives.
On behalf of these people and young people of Australia, Brahminy is committed to seek excellence in its provision of services.
