Wilderness Residential Program – Brahminy House

Placement duration: 12 months to 24 months

All clients placed within Wilderness Residential Program also participate in the Wilderness Therapeutic Program.

The Wilderness Residential Program provides a long term service within a safe and supportive environment for young people between the ages of 11 to 18 years old.

There are certain young people for whom neither attendance at a mainstream school nor accommodation within a family or conventional foster setting is deemed appropriate for certain periods of their lives. The effect of providing a special program based on 24 hour intervention programs combined with education and residential strands is an effective and positive solution which caters for a limited number of high risk young people housed together in one structured environment.
