Their story – Testimonials
Good morning Mrs.XXXXXX and students most of you will not know who Allan Brahminy is, that is why I am so excited to tell you about him.
Allan and his support crew located in the Australian Bushland NT help troubled kids of family break downs, criminal records and violence to others. Its theirs last chance of turning their life around or going to jail. What unites these kids is the issues and problems they all share.
For Allan it is so important that they sort out their problems and become a real survivor. Brahminy believe they need to excepttheir consequences of their poor choices so they can deal with the future.
Allan had a troubled childhood, he was abandoned at birth and then was adopted by a loving indigenous family but was taken away from them at a young age of seven and was placed into foster care.
For Allan to achieve his mission he has to have self control, patience, gentleness and kindness for the troubled children to trust and open up towards him to form a relationship. The children’s life stories are very depressing,Allan always listens with understanding and empathy.
The children can become extremely angry and frustrated that often leads to verbal and physical violence. That is when Allan manages his impulsivity to not react like them. During the challenging times of teaching and developing the children Allan has to persist to keep them on the right track and guide them to become a survivor.
We should feel grateful to have a loving family.
Hi Allan
My son xxxxxx, who is in year 5, was required to do a speech on someone who has made a difference to the life of others, after watching your show on the ABC he chose you. I thought you may like to read his speech.
