BRAHMINY PROGRAMS – WORKING FOR THE COMMUNITY

  • Wilderness Therapeutic Program
    is designed to rehabilitate and to empower young people to make rational life choices, now and in the future and to accept the consequences of those choices.
  • Wilderness Residential Program – Brahminy House
    provides residential care within a safe and supportive environment for young people who have been removed from their family home by the Government Sector based on care and protection issues.
  • Back to Culture Program
    promotes “Cultural Harmony” and learning for young indigenous people.
    They are given the opportunity to reconnect or be exposed to their heritage.
  • Environmental Programs and Events
    Our annual program schedule includes specialised environmental events which form part of our early intervention programs for medium to low risk young people.
  • Educational Programs
    deliver specialised individual literacy and numeracy curriculum. Additional subjects include broad art, social science, history, life skills, culture, mentor programs, employment skills, science and environment.
  • Client Profile
    Brahminy programs are developed for young people at risk who present a range
    of issues that creates anti-social behaviours which affect themselves, family and the community.
